Parenting a Child with 'Extra'
You love your child dearly – and - they wear you out! You never thought that parenting would be this hard, and from your perspective, your child is harder than other kids their age. They are ‘extra’. Extra energetic, extra emotionally or sensorially sensative, extra needy, extra oppositional…everything is just ‘extra’ hard in parenting them.
Gaining an understanding of the relational and neurodevelopmental factors that contribute to your child’s extra needs and challenges can be profoundly helpful in creating more realistic expectations of them, learning how to parent them with these ‘extra’ qualities, and finding acceptance amidst the difficulties (and disappointments) in your parenting life. Feel supported and seen and breathe more patience and acceptance into your relationship with your child. Join us for this vibrant and helpful parenting cohort
Cohorts are offered weekly over 4 weeks on Thursdays from 5:30-7:00 PM (6 hours total). Half of the session will be psychoeducation, and the other half is an opportunity for parents to ask questions, share successes, and feel seen by others who understand. Join in person or virtually.
Contact us today to join the June/July 2025 Cohort starting Thursday, June 12th: 6/12, 6/19, 6/26 (skip the week of 7/4), 7/10)
